Race Day Schedule

Important Information

  • Event date: Sunday, May 31st, 2020
  • Event start: 7:00am

Full Schedule

  • 5:00-6:30 AM: Packet Pickup (Arriving after 6:30 a.m. may cause you to miss the race)
  • 5:05 AM: Transition area (TA) opens: Race number and body marking required to enter transition
  • 5:05 AM: Body marking in front of Historic Ryckman House next to TA
  • 5:05 AM: Timing chip pickup between body marking and TA entry
  • 6:45 AM: First & Final Call for participants to go to Pier end
  • 6:50 AM: National Anthem at Pier end
  • 7:00 AM: First Wave Start; 3 minute intervals between waves
  • 8:30 AM: Free Breakfast at Community Center – Racers & Volunteers
  • Prizes & Giveaways begin when all Racers have finished
  • Awards immediately following results finalization

Race Distances

  • 0.25 mile swim course: Rectangle course around the historic Melbourne Beach Pier in the Indian River Lagoon. OR 1 Mile run for Duathlon distance.
  • 12 mile bike course: Out and back loop; includes 5.5 mile straight-away along side a string of ocean side parks and wildlife preserves south on A1A – long, straight, flat and fast
  • 3.1 mile run course: Loop through peaceful residential beach-side neighborhoods
